Feed Helper

Seeking an entry-level Software Engineer / Feed Helper.

Responsibilities:  

- Writing Python code for Unix environment
- Development and maintenance of the Geodelic Feed Processing System
- Work closely with Product Development and Systems Engineers to aid in developing new business opportunities

Operations Assistant

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Office and Administrative Assistance:

    Fulfill general office duties

 

Executive Assisting:

    Support operations, development, and marketing departments with daily and weekly reports and other special projects as needed. Work closely to verify loose-ends are tied up with conferences, trade-shows, and business meetings.

 

Purchasing & Logistics:

    Oversee the creation of Purchase Orders on behalf of the Operations Department. Coordinate with the IT department to make sure the inventory is being conducted routinely.

 

Recruiting / Policies:

    Work to distribute new policies passed down by Operations, maintain the Operations policy handbook and identify and alert Operations Manager of any violations.

 

Project Assistance:

    Assist with the training and management of our project management system and continue the development of cohesive communication strategies.

 

Product:

    Spend an hour a day testing our iPhone and Android application, looking for content issues and gently exploring the world of Quality Assurance.

 

Catch-All:

    Cloud Configuration and Infrastructure Engineer

    The candidate will be responsible for the administration of the deployments in our cloud infrastructure.

    Responsibilities

    The candidate will be responsible for the administration of the deployments in our cloud infrastructure.  This includes:

    - General administration of individual server instances in our multi-tiered architecture.

    - Utilizing and building on our existing Ruby-based deployment tool set, consisting of Opscode Chef and other 3rd party tools.

    - Upgrading live systems as new releases of code and data are available.

    - Working to improve the automation and auto-scaling characteristics of the cloud environment.

    - Gather and analyze performance metrics to guarantee the stability of the deployments and ensure the most effective use of cloud resources.

     

    Requirements:

    - At least 2 years experience with the installation, administration, monitoring, and upgrading of live (24x7) Unix/Linux servers in a multi-tiered environment.

    QA Manager

    Quality Assurance Manager to generate an extensive and thorough test plan, whilst outlining specific test cases to meet the goal of a trouble-free product.

    Job Description:

    - Coordinate the tasks and responsibilities of 4 Quality Assurance representatives.

    Lead QA Engineer

    You will be working to execute testing on a location based awareness application for both the iPhone and the Android G1 / MyTouch.

    Responsibilities:

    -  Developing and executing automated tests to validate and verify application functionality

    -  Conducting the same, but on a server level

    -  Developing and executing tests to verify content, API connectivity, and simulate user functions

    Senior Developer

    Senior developer/architect to build the framework that is going to change the way people interact with their world..

    Responsibilities:

    Work directly with product management to understand product needs, giving feedback that improves the product vision.

    Work cooperatively with our technical team to architect the system components you are responsible for, and then roll up your sleeves and put the vision down in code (and if on reading the last sentence you did not protest that architecture and coding are not in fact two linear steps in a waterfall process, then don't contact us).
